Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
LO Clefable usually runs 60 to 64 Speed EVs in order to outspeed uninvested Corviknight.
Being faster than Buzz on Aegislash might be an idea but you're losing a useful HP Pool (180Speed EVs is a huge investment on a 60BS Speed Mon) and Choice Band Head Smash OHKOes even a full Def Mandibuzz...
I really love the Idea, Psychic Fangs might be a good option for the likes of the Pex, although this set is completely walled by Grimmsnarl, then, Steel Wings could also be a viable option depending on what you need.
Yes, you also can use Indeedee's Psychic Terrain and access to screens to set up, which isn't bad at all. We also might, in the future, couple Hawlucha with Rillaboom and its hidden ability in Grassy Terrain.
If playing Band Aegislash I would probably recommand to run 64/68Speed EVs to outspeed LO Clefable (you still should be careful about few faster ones) and OHKO it with Iron Head . Here are the calcs, the first one is against LO Clefable, the second is against the classical Magic Guard Clefable...
I got you, and I guess Flareon won't be your primary check to spec's Dragapult. But even if, indeed, in some particular cases it can work to heal back an ally up to full (since the damages will be hardly diminushed by the Sp.Attack drop), it also sacks Flareon almost all the time. It's so...
I just had a question, because I definitely don't understand something :
What's the point in tanking a Draco Meteor ? I mean, if it's on the switch, you're dead next turn or after SR anyway, and if you were already facing Dragapult, what's the point in tanking it ? Is that to WoW or Wish ? I'm...
I didn't even know it could learn it, and this is, indeed, a great option. If I remember right, neither unboosted Hex, neither Scald breaks the Substitute from Gyarados too, which won't be the case anymore once running Night Shade.
Seismitoad is also a pretty solid answer to Dracozolt on the ladder, and now that Swampert's gone it's probably the best Water/Ground type of the game because it still has Toxic and Stealth Rock. I don't know about Seismitoad then, but you're probably right about the other Water Absorbers, since...
Never thought about the sitrus berry but that's a good option indeed, even if you're losing some staying power throughout the game once it has been used, I'm gonna try this out !
And yeah Strength Sap is definitely broken at moment in my opinion...
I used Strength Sap Jellicent a lot to check G-Darm and I feel like it's probably the best check for this broken mon. Jellicent resists both Icicle Crash and Flare Blitz and do not take much from Earthquake, it still get 2HKOed by CB Earthquake but I never saw them lock into it much.
Edit : I...
Hi everyone,
Here's a variant of the Substitute + King's Shield set, I saw it first in a Lord Emvee's video on youtube and it worked out pretty nicely in lots of games :
Sub + King's Shield
Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Attack...
