XY Ubers Medieval 'Mons: A Balanced XY Ubers Team

Hello Riley, nice team you have there, your RMT is really well made! You team has a good combination of tanks, speedy attackers, and a mix of some surprise elements. The core of Groudon, Genesect, and Giratina-O provides great synergetic characteristics, especially in conjunction with your two...

The XY Ubers Replays of Excellence Thread

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-93417986 A pretty decent match I had on the ladder. Although I'm not usually a stall player, it was fun to switch it up a bit. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-92285830 Also, a good match against an unorthodox team, I'm using Hyper Offense this time.

tl;dr Aegislash has nice resistances which it can use to be an effective toxic spreader/staller and check some threats. Furthermore, it is the only solid counter to Xerneas which gives it merits for a teamslot in some cases. Bottom line is: is it a top-tier threat? No. Is it viable in uber? Yes.

Stall Mewtwo loses to Aegis when it has access to taunt, while Aegis loses to offensive Mewtwo when it beats it one on one with a combination of Gyro Ball and Shadow Sneak or just toxic stall it. Yeah... your logic is off. You clearly don't understand the concept of indirect checking which is...

If you are bringing your Banded Scizor in on random attacks before your opponent uses Geomancy, chances are you're not going to be able to switch into Xerneas anymore. You can revenge it, yes, but your opponent can always choose to attack the Scizor and switch right back out and save Power Herb...

For people saying that Aegislash is too specialized in countering Xerneas, if you don't have a safe switch in, you will need to have some forms of priority, usually Extremekiller, to deal with it in the worst case scenario you need to sack a mon. Also regrading Choice Band Max atk Scizor, I...

    Ubers Blaziken [QC 3/3][GP 2/2]

It may come to some as a surprise that Blaziken, one of the starter Pokemon that you can choose in Ruby and Sapphire, is strong enough to play in the same field as Uber titans such as Arceus and Mewtwo. However, upon deeper inspection, it becomes clear that Blaziken has all the right tools at...

Weatherfest - A quadruple weather team (Peaked at ~1600 Elo/2200 ACRE)

A non-troll team deserves a non-troll rate: I'll start out by saying that quadruple weather is a viable playstyle, do not let people make you think otherwise. The ability to mess up the opponent strategy while simultaneously strengthening your own is fearsome when played correctly. However, I...

    Red Herring

I agree with shed shell blissey over chansey, I was going to address that in my earlier post but I forgot. Best of luck to the team. -Jimmyftw - - - -

    Red Herring

Hello Piexplode, nice team you have there. Although it may be a little unorthodox, I do believe this team have high competitive potential. Not to mention, it is a very interesting built that is both new and refreshing from the common and overused team archetypes we commonly see in today's Uber...

Victim of the Week: Ubers Edition

Choice Band Ho-oh is the only common Ho-oh set that runs Earthquakes, so saying that Heatran's only goal is countering Choice Band Ho-oh is ironic. Heatran has an easier time with non Choice Banded Ho-oh which normally do not carry Earthquake and have a sufficiently weaker Brave Bird.

    Ubers Arceus-Normal (QC 3/3 GP 1/2)

Arceus, the divine creator of the Pokemon world, has come down from His mighty throne in Heavens above, transcending the confide of mundane stats total shared by a multitude of His creations and establishing Himself as the original deity with a frenetic terpsichore before proceeding to pass...

    Mewtwo (QC 2/3)

The classic God of Pokemon has always been one of the most dangerous Pokemon to go up against. However, in this generation, "dangerous" is an understatement. Having been gifted with not one, but two mega evolutions that function differently from each other, Mewtwo has gained a level of...
