Alright, so I currently can't get B&W AR Codes. Would it work if I got someone else to IV check the Pokemon for me to see what seed I hit?

Alright, so it appears that there is an update for AR's which you'll need for AR codes on B&W. My AR is messed and I bought it over 4 years ago, so I manually type the codes. Now, even when I do that, the game freezes because the AR needs the update. I only need it to determine the seed I hit...

Alright, assume I was to RNG a Reshiram using the cgear. How would I check if I hit my seed once I caught it? I'd be in battle against N right, wouldn't I? I just want to make sure I don't mess up anything before I actually try. Edit: I'd also like to know what to fill in on the calibration...

Will this guide work with the US versions or will there be an update for how to RNG in the US versions?
