What does the term "Blanket Check" specifically mean? I assume is something among the lines of "If you use this Pokemon you don't have to worry too much about Pokemon of this type" or something like that?

Thanks Celticpride and pika pal (and AM on Showdown), I decided to go for Icy Wind. HP Ice on Zapdos is a cool idea but SD MScizor also threatens my team badly so Heat Wave is more important IMO.

So um, been lookin' at some Bisharp sets and I wanted to give the Assault Vest set a try. However, can I get some insight on his spread? I know 96 Spe outspeeds Adamant Azumarill, but what does 192 HP specifically achieve? Can I run 252 Atk by taking 32 EVs from the HP? Thanks.

Are you sure? I just checked that at level 50, 16 Spe Zapdos hits 122 Speed, which is the exact same of a 252 Spe Bisharp, again at level 50, while at level 100 it does outspeed. Furthermore, I recall that I got once told at the Competitive Tutoring room on Showdown that Gengar should carry less...
