Item Choice Scarf (Role in the Meta)

I've been liking clear body this gen a lot more than I used to. With that being said, I've been using scarfgross because of frequent sticky web and intimidate users I have been seeing lately... Though it does miss assault vest, but It's base speed is right on the line to outspeed certain...

    Pokémon Crobat

200 evs are the way to go. If I was you, I would dump the other useless 52 speed evs into attack to give brave bird slightly more power. And if you really want to take advantage of it, give crobat 248 hp evs to give to get 5 straight switch ins into stealth rock instead of 4. I'm glad to help. :)

Is there anything in particular or anything noticeable that jolly 252 speed outspeeds? What I recommend is jolly 200 speed evs to outspeed noivern and anything past that, a scarfed poke could do the job better. Unless you want to out speed a certain scarfer maybe?

Don't you mean Timid Noivern? I was going to reply by saying, if you are going to outspeed greninja you might as well outspeed noivern too. But I ran some calcs and found out 200 evs w/ jolly outspeeds noivern by one point. Sorry, I guess there were mishaps on both of our parts.

    Pokémon Crobat

Why safety goggles on a crobat just to counter smeargle? If you see a smeargle in team preview, you might a well lead with crobat and taunt it or U-turn if it doesn't lead. I do know the other problem is letting smeargle come in safely and sporeing something on your team and is almost guaranteed...

    Pokémon Absol

For me mega-absol is a good late game sweeper. Is it me or does absol Always need protect to mega evolve? (I loved baiting out Blaziken's HJK when it was still OU. Good times.) I prefer using an all-out attacker set. I could never find a turn to SD up when either any attack could OHKO me or the...

Umm... What is your item? You never mentioned it in your set.

    Pokémon Crobat

Running defog with a focus sash is a bad idea, unless you have another spinner or another defogger for some reason. Yes, I do know the reason of defog on the set is to get rid of spikes and toxic spikes, but spikers usually have rocks too and will set rocks up earlier than spikes. (Unless it's a...

    Pokémon Crobat

Cross poison will only get a guaranteed OHKO with an adament nature and 248 EVs, so you must be talking about a offensive variant and not a support one. I would think poison fang would fit onto a support set well. Maybe switching defog for it if something else on your team can learn defog. We...

It sounds like heatran still walls it hard. Maybe opt out giga drain for HP ground for heatran and electric types maybe, or is the giga drain specifically for something?

    Pokémon Crobat

Probably things that have good synergy with crobat, like maybe metagross for a psychic resist or magnezone to take specs ice beams and thunderbolts and trap steel types that resist crobat's Stabs.

Other Poll: Steel - Nerfed or Buffed?

I would say aegislash would be a good spinblocker and it has those high defenses in shield form if something like starmie hydro pumped or forretress gyro balled instead of RS... but defog is now a thing. At least aegislash now has the niche of being the only (*GOOD) spinblocker on a monosteel...

Other Poll: Steel - Nerfed or Buffed?

Well for second typing I meant defensively it doesn't help ghosts much and still makes them glass cannons. (Aside from jellicent, golurk and driftblim.) Offensively most of the dual stabs have beautiful coverage together. Take gengar for example. Ghost/poison is an amazing typing for dual stabs...

Other Poll: Steel - Nerfed or Buffed?

It's plausible. It's true that many ghost type moves aren't that high in bp, but there is more variety of usable Stab moves than dragons. Ghosts when compared to dragons are less bulkier but more speedier which can cause problems when facing a certain scarfer because of below average defenses...
