"96 Special Attack EVs guarentees the OHKO on Tank Garchomp" This seems a little bit confusing considering that Psychic is the main slash -- are the remaining EVs just dumped into SpA and the fact that Garchomp is OHKOd if you decide to run HP Ice just a coincidence, or is there a better spread...

Resource ORAS OU Viability Ranking Thread V3 - Read Post 3451 Page 139

I'm not arguing that it should be lower, but can someone explain to me why M-Sableye became s-rank? Is it just because it is a staple on stall teams and can also fit onto most other types of teams easily? Every time I've ever faced M-Sableye it seemed to be kind of dead weight that just ends up...

I know 24 spe isn't much, but is it really worth it to outspeed uninvested heatran, when pretty much all heatran are running speed and it would be pretty risky staying in on heatran anyways (since it might be running 4 spe or something)? I could see running 24 spe if you're also running rain...

Other Team Archive by CTC (ORAS Update) Read Post #517

Dear CTC, Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite Ability: Pressure EVs: 244 Atk / 44 Def / 220 Spe Adamant Nature - Taunt - Aerial Ace - Aqua Tail - Roost I think this stallbreaker aero set is really cool and fun to use, but I'm stumped on how I can fit it into a team properly without it being some lame...

mega slowbro is cute and all, but I don't think it's going to be a defensive staple or anything like that. it will likely remain a niche kind of mon, like how slowbro is in the current metagame. the fact that it is vulnerable to all forms of status, doesn't have passive recovery in leftovers...

Pretty sure you need 132 Spe EVs to outrun max spe Azumarill?

    OU Scolipede (Offensive)

That may sound good on paper, but often times this Scolipede is so effective because you can come in, kill something slower, and in that turn become very fast -- then the next turn you can use Protect and basically outspeed everything. The current benchmark of outspeeding +spe Kyu-b is good imo...

    Azumarill

that's called speed creeping which isn't allowed to be done in analyses (unless it's a hard creep, such as Landorus-T using 88 Spe to always outspeed Adamant Bisharp).

    OU Shuckle

Use Bold or Calm > Impish, Infestation is a SpA so Shuckle would rather use -Atk for both a stronger Infestation and lower Foul Play damage. Also I think Shuckle should be using 248 HP instead to minimize SR damage.

    Thundurus-T [GP 0/2]

Just a minor nitpick but your current spread on the Nasty Plot set isn't optimal, if you use 31/0/31/30/30/30 for Hidden Power Flying and use 20 HP / 252 SpA / 236 Spe you come out with an extra point in defense.

    Aegislash

why is the SubToxic set running 12 spe when it is neutral nature? I understand that reducing natures run 12 spe to outspeed uninvested Tyranitar, but why would neutral Aegislash need the speed?

SwagPlay, evaluating potential bans (basic definition of "uncompetitive" in OP)

I'm in support of either a complex ban of Prankster + Swagger, or just banning Swagger altogether. Both would be fine and an improvement on the laddering experience, in my opinion. It doesn't make sense to me why we would have the evasion clause be part of standard play, but we ignore something...

    Scizor [QC: 3/4]

This may be just me, but I think that on the Defog set, Superpower is usually more valuable of a move than Bullet Punch or Knock Off. Superpower allows you to handle big threats like Lucario and Bisharp (who could otherwise switch in on a Defog, get Atk+2 and setup on you or KO a switch-in) and...
