  1. Time Stalling as a Strategy

I sometimes feel bad for losing games I could have won by timerstalling. In one case I tricked a sticky barb onto a Curse/Amnesia/??/(Recover probably) Quagsire, then encore locked it with Wobb. Since it would die in 16 or 17 turns and I had three guys left vs his two, I could have timerstalled...
  2. Hippowdon [QC 2/3]

Not sure how popular it is on the simulator, but it's pretty much the only set I see on wifi. I could theorymon about this matchup for a while, but in short, +2 252+ Shadow Ball and +2 0 Shadow Sneak can kill specially defensive hippos (around 25% after leftovers, more with rocks). +2 252+...
  3. Wobbuffet

Haha, wow, the anti-sableye stuff is hilarious. This has to be a troll, right? Here, let me try. Versus Sableye you use... Encore? a. He taunts you. You can't encore or safeguard. So he then burns you next turn? b. He attacks physically. You use counter and are greeted with a nice "Ghost types...
  4. 3v3 Singles Metagame Discussion Thread

Specs Noivern lead is a beast. Draco Meteor OHKO's anything that doesn't resist it with uninvested base defenses of about 80/xx/85, and the Frisk Switcheroo combo is very useful. Unfortunately it doesn't stop Mega Banette.
  5. Hippowdon [QC 2/3]

With either a neutral speed nature and 12 speed IVs or a -speed nature and 25 IVs Hippowdon will hit 111 speed, exactly one point beneath minimum speed Aegislash. This is rather relevant since otherwise you will lose to Shadow Ball/Shadow Sneak Weakness Policy variants.
  6. 3v3 Singles Metagame Discussion Thread

What do you do about Choice Scarf Garchomp locked into Outrage? It seems like your only safe switch in might be Scizor, but from what I can gather the opponent will likely nab a large advantage?
  7. Battle Spot Singles Interactive Threat List

This new dragon is worth a mention. Noivern With its unique base 123 speed and access to an interesting array of coverage moves, this overgrown bat will outspeed opposing Greninja and its ice beam by one point at level 50 and threaten an OHKO with Choice Specs Draco Meteor. The standard sets...
  8. Move Knock Off

A note: If you use knock off vs Ferrothorn and Iron Barbs kills you, Ferrothorn keeps its Leftovers (tested In-Game)
  9. Pokémon Aegislash

Just registered to say that tricking a choice item onto Aegislash can be a decent strategy for dealing with it, as Switcheroo (and maybe Trick, haven't tested it) goes though King's Shield. Unfortunately my usual trap counters don't work against the thing since its ghost type lets it escape...
