Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
These pokemon all represent classic Kaiju's. The theming isn't so much dragon-like, as it is monster-like. I will say that I don't actually know too much about kaiju movies, so most of the inspiration for the movesets comes from wikizilla and gojipedia, an online database all about the Godzilla...
This trainer is a weapon collector who is interested in all the different weapon-like moves one could use in a Pokemon battle. All his Pokemon have their own fighting style based on a specific weapon they are associated with.

This type specialist is a ghost type gym leader that hosts a haunted house at a fair. His entire gym is a scary maze-like mansion you have to traverse to fight him. He uses scary Pokemon with frightening or uncomfortable moves.

It's a hyper offensive team of ice-cold killers. These Pokemon all have a reputation for being dangerous, monstrous and ruthless. They won't think twice about using excessive violence or devious tactics to knock you out cold. They all have a mostly (dark) blue or white body with red and yellow...
In Pokemon, the dark type is usually associated with things like bad behaviour, mischief or brutality. It's really more of a 'bad' or 'evil' type. For this challenge I decided on a more literal interpretation of the dark type, focusing more on the concept of darkness itself. So darkness as in...
Let me share my take on a rain team before everyone else starts doing it ;) It's a great team archetype for this challenge because there are just so many options. I didn't use either of the drizzle users though, because I didn't think they had enough of a connection to the electric type, so a...
The type specialist for this team is a flamboyant musical star and writer. All of his Pokemon serve a role in the fairy tale musical that he has written. A well known theory amongst fans is that this trainer absolutely refuses to use the move play rough on his team, despite specialising in fairy...
Can I just quickly ask: how do you make those little icons of the Pokemon that everyone uses? I've been on this forum for over ten years, and I still haven't learned how to do that :row:. Can't find any info on it anywhere.
This team is themed around the idea of 'creepy eyes'. Being watched by a set of eyes in the dark is a common horror trope, so I think this works well for a ghost type specialist trying to instill fear into their opponents.
Big Scary Eyes

I feel like quite a few bosses across the franchise could be made harder by just removing some pointless or bad moves. One of the examples is B/W Skyla, who almost always simply refuses to be threatening because she is busy wasting time on using moves like amnesia, razor wind or aqua ring...
I like how Klawf's page needs six different pictures to show how its ability works. Good to know that Pokemon still has wildly inefficient programming.
I have some free time coming up, so I might want to start a run of this game. Are there any Pokemon in particular that need more testing that I can keep in mind when teambuilding?
Based on the description we got for Arven, I think it's pretty safe to assume that he will be involved in one of the "three great stories" that were mentioned in the trailer. This description specifically mentions that he will ask you to help him out, so I think you can start this side story by...
