    You can raise 6 zigzagoons/linoones and keep killing wild low level pokemon, hunting nuggets.

    The only real use I see for this is preventing the double switch when they switch into their physical attacker, which will be blocked now. Something like Wobbuffet but not that overpowered.

    Stats increases are (2+stage)/2 * stat Decreases are [2/(2 + stage)] * stat So decrease 1 stage is 2/3 * stat, 2 is 2/4 * stat, and so on, up to 2/8 * stat = 1/4 * stat.
