Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Cinccino does get Triple Axel (which is very powerful with Technician) and Knock Off though, not that they make it much more viable in OU because Population Bomb is stupidly strong against neutral targets.
On another note I have been using a physical (Knock Off/Heavy Slam/Dragon Tail/Any filler...
It's a useful additional resistance for a Rock type for for sure, and it actually also fits with Garganacl's concept well because salt is used for religious purification rituals in Japan (and I think also in some other Asian countries) and it has the power to ward off evil spirits (Ghost types).
Yep, this one is going to be unranked with that stat spread no matter how great support moves it gets. I really don't understand the design intent here because it doesn't have any special niche with the those moves/stats and bland typing (even Kricketune with worse BST at least gets Technician...
This thing is probably somewhat better in doubles where Tailwind support is more likely and spread wind-type moves like Heat Wave/Blizzard/Icy Wind are more common. For singles it also has a neat immunity to Hurricane but I think the defensive stats and speed tier are not good enough for a...
As a Grass type enthusiast I love the design of this mon (actually the best one this gen) but unfortunately that speed, lack of proper recovery and horrible typing make it unviable in OU especially if Terastalize gets banned. My prediction is that it will get clapped by U-Turns and First...
The ones that match or break 550 are considered pseudo-legendary anyway, and there are usually only 1 or 2 of them in each gen. Slaking, Wishiwashi, Archeops etc. on the other hand have higher stat totals to compensate for their gimmicky abilities.
Starter pokemon final evolutions have always...
This same multi-page theorycrafting discussion over Zamazenta has been repeated like three times already. Now would be a really good time to test whether it fits into the OU metagame in practice because there are no outright broken mons running around. Also, if I remember correctly the last poll...
So why doesn't Ferrothorn get Spiky Shield? Even Simisage that only has a thorny tail learns it but Pokemon that is literally covered in thorns does not? Some other Grass types that should also have access to it are Abomasnow and Roserade in my opinion.
So I guess Illuminate and Run Away are still useless in battles then? Hard to think of any other potential hidden effects aside from the ones already suggested in this thread. I just find it strange since GF has been adding in-battle effects to previously useless abilities before and in this...
In Japanese it's literally 10k Horsepower so I agree with the thought that other horse Pokemon should get it too. GF doesn't really seem to care about that kind of logic since for example Aurorus can't get Aurora Veil and Ferrothorn doesn't learn Spiky Shield. Meanwhile we now get an Ice/Steel...
Have they made any changes to the Illuminate ability? I was wondering since it's completely useless in battles and yet they still decided to add it to the Morelull evolution line in Sun&Moon.
