Using this method is teaching me a lot about breeding and inheritence I didn't know. I just got a pokemon that hat all 5iv's passed down from the father parent (in this case rotom). Until now I just thought it was alway 2:3 inheritence. p.s I really hate the battle institute

I got mixed results using Magikarps and then substituting them for rotom and ditto. Works like a charm though when I use rotom and ditto as the "dummy parents". It's sure as hell making breeding in th amorphous egg group easier. I don't know how useful this will be for breeding when you also...
