  1. On Bans

The problem with this Gen is that there are so many Pokemon. In previous Gens it was way easier to have a more dedicated counter to everything, in this Gen it is impossible to even have a half check for everything. For example you may build a team that can counter hyper offense quite...
  2. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

Yes I must try it, however the choice scarfer has been relatively succesful, but the specs set is probably better, but the scarf fits my team better than the specs set, I guess it's just up to preferance. And I think WS is 150 BP, not 200. On a completely different note, has anyone tried any of...
  3. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

It's kinda simple, just 252/252 and I used Water Spout, Surf (but in hindsight Hydro pump is way better), Ice beam and HP grass. It had timid but modest did kinda work...(better). I like the hit and run aspect of it and as you said spin support is almost nescesary to switch in a lot of times, I...
  4. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

I have been using scarf Blastoise as a lead and works well (in UU haven't tried it in OU yet), he has full HP at the begining (obviusly) and can therefore blast off full powered WS from the begininng, it can severely dent anything and can even KO up to 3 pokes at the beginning (rarely though...)...
  5. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

One pokemon who hasn't got much attention is CurseArmaldo, with SS support it has beefy sp.def and can take a few hits, and with a couple of curses in it can hit very hard, even with little EV investment. The main problem is the weaknesses and if used in UU the need to use Hippopotas, however...
  6. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

Yes it owns, I run a bulky spread, something like 212 HP 252 ATK 44 SPE, i've forgoten why the 44 ev's are in speed but it can set up on a lot of things and proceed to sweep, it also makes a decent Mismagius counter if it doesnt pack T-Bolt. I really think that this is a better addition than HS...
  7. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 20 (READ THE OP)

@ Sikos, Xenon generally does good battles, most are UU/NU vs. anything and it can be quite interesting. Hope I helped...
  8. blue basket UU Rain Dance team (peaked #12)

I've basically got the same team but have been using registeel to moderate success (especially with wish support form Kangaskhan). A tactic that I've been trying to employ is to set up rain quite late so the opponent doesnt know it's a dance team for a while. People can do very unexpected things...
  9. Sunny Day Team [UU]

Thank you for the help given I will change Drifblim for Blaziken, and possibly switch to MixGrowth. I'll change my scarf user to something better as well. Threat list coming soon hopefully. Again thank you for the help and any more comments will be appreciated.
  10. Sunny Day Team [UU]

    Reserved for threat list.
  11. Sunny Day Team [UU]

Hello, this is a team that has been tried and is not as gimmicky as it looks. The main focus of the team is to keep the skies sunny, and to abuse chlorophyll and the extra Fire type boost. The Team Ambipom @ Heat Rock Ability: Technician EV's: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Spe Jolly nature (+Spe, -SAtk)...
  12. More Thoughts on Stealth Rock

In my opinion (not that it counts much) SR is broken. Have you ever seen a team with say, Yanmega AND Charizard on it - NO because both are weak to a certain move. It also stops particular strategies from working (Focus Sashers etc...) Thus if I had a hail team (which is generally weak to...
