Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
See, the thing about Galvantula is that
1. Stickweb is brutal against many teams
2. 97% accurate Thunder is pretty baller
It's attack isn't anything to write home about, but it's going to make dents with Thunder. Bug Buzz is also pretty decent.
Plus, it has options like Volt switch and...
I don't think Mega Pinsir makes it to S due to sheer, absolute predictability, and the Rocks issue.
Similar issue with Charizard X. If Charizard makes it, it'll make it because it has two different Megas, not one or the other.
Reliable recovery would absolutely make Rotom better. Poison heal puts gliscor's recovery in à different league.
I still don't agree with Rotom being S.
It won't make it for walling ability, because as great as its typing is, lack of good recovery is a deal breaker there. this isn't stingy...
There's been dearth of new placements in general, unless I've missed something in the last 20 pages.
How about Chesnaught? Bullet proof allows it to hard counter most Aegislash sets. Also, resisting earthquake and dark moves is particularly good this meta. It also has a better protect for seed...
0\0 Zygarde is the dd set.
He does actually acknowledge that Salamence can have problems regardless of set, but his point is Salmence has viable mixed options. Options good. Intimidate and moxie good. Oog oog oog.
Also, regarding the above post-considering Zygarde has basically the best...
He probably just means usage statistics. Even Salamence is dropping this time, and KyuremB is currently Uu.
Anyway both are probably gettin kicked out later.
I'd weigh in at C for Amoongus- it walls well, spore is great, but its too onedimensional and easily countered, which is the crippling flaw. Its also partially outclassed by msaur.
Possibly C+, having seen its uber usage, but that probably isn't relevant.
I suppose I wouldn't either, but it's not stellar with very little resistances. Factoring that, it's probably switching in at best three times, probably less and more likely to be less with rocks.
Considering switching in is what it wants to do, often, I can't see it pushing the upper bound of B.
Msaur has the option of being a strong offense. it could be pure too, if it needed to be.
And no. The last 10 pages Msaur is a restatement of 30 pages ago, and there were no clear arguments against it then either, that weren't refuted.
If you want to make one, do it well and clearly. Be in depth.
It walls better than the next best things.
It has good offenses.
Where heatran and rotom have rocks and voltswitch, msaur has poisoning, sleep, and seeds.
Its a clear step up as a defensive Pokemon. What else could you want? Where are you seeing mediocrity?
Anyhow I'd agree on Rotom-H for B...
No, that's not it. You stated various deficiencies you think msaur has, and I told you that those deficiencies weren't there.
Basically, the things you think are spotty are not.
But anyway, considering Rotom-W, the next best wall is in A+, and can't recover on will, I'm fairly sure msaur is...
