What system are you running? I am on Windows 8, and from here I just went into control panel > hardware and sounds > and there's a link there that says "Device Manager" > clicking on that will bring you to a list, from there I found Network Adapters, and I right-clicked to make sure everything...

There are many instructions on pages 1-7 on this exact problem, and most people fixed it from trying various things. Personally, I had to go into my device manager and enable my remote network, which wasn't explained on any of those pages, but that could help, too.
