Not a bug. If a mon that uses knock off doesn't survive the knock off interaction and is ko'ed in the process then no item is knocked off. Here the rocky helmet ko'ed the komala in the middle of the knock off interaction and that is why no item was knocked off.

Add some sort of indicator on the ladder page and (if possible) the formats dropdown that a format is included in the current seasonal ladder, like a symbol/medal image next to the format.

Ideally somewhere where it couldn't cause trouble with misclicks or too close to the read more button; the first one seems prone to that. I think having it top right or bottom right as displayed in the second image would be the best.
