  1. soo.....car accident...

Good to hear that you survived though...that sounds like a hell of a wreck. I've wrecked a few times myself so I'll share one of the cuter stories I have... A few years ago, I went to go visit a girlfriend at her parents' place, on christmas eve. I drove over, hung out with her family, and...

And T-Mac would finally break his curse. I think in terms of emotional value, Houston winning would be ideal. It's too bad because I really dig Deron William's game, but I'd love to see T-Mac get out of the first round at least once. He's too good a player to be stuck in the first round for...

Yeah it was really a toss-up between the two, in my opinion. Statistically, I think Durant was better, but Horford did prove pivotal in getting his team into the playoffs...even if it was in the east. From what I've been reading Durant has been really gracious about winning the award, though...

I'm sorry about that. Hope is what makes the games interesting though. That and you're probably a real fan. No shame in that. :) C'mon ATL, smash Boston good! Even if you guys can't win the series I want to see the look of dispair on the Celtic faces just like in game 4. That'd really...

What was up with that anyways? I heard KG practically shoved a ref...and didn't apologize or anything. He just said, "the ref grabbed me" as a justification? Very strange.

D'Antoni definitely shouldn't go. I agree with everyone else. He's done too much for the team to just throw him out. I thought that the moves made my PHX management this year were bad moves, especially the Shaq one. Unless D'Antoni was to blame for the trade, I can't see much reason to fire...

Yeah, Kidd was definitely a panic trade. It all seems to go back to the Gasol trade. Just about everyone panicked from that, and understandably. The lakers got a legit all-star power forward for like a tuna sandwich and some cash. They went from sorta good to top-tier practically overnight.
  8. The NBA thread

That's actually a very good analogy. ATL = Trailblazers. Are the ATL players "character guys" as well? I know that a big focus of hiring with the blazers the last couple years has been to hire guys that are young, work hard, and would make positive rolemodels and good teammates. I have to...

Silver '05 Acura TL, fully loaded. It's my baby. I still haven't bothered to get the windows tinted, though...of all things.
  10. The NBA thread

Yeah, I pretty much agree. Lakers in 6. Kobe gets to run wild and Gasol should be able to hold out long enough against Boozer. Deron will have to play at a level higher than how he played during last year's playoffs to even have a chance of winning. If Utah had homecourt advantage...

DFA: I'm not a big fan of Shaq's game, but PHX-LAL would definitely be fun to watch. Amare's irritating but the boy can dunk. PHX-LAL would probably just be one long highlight reel of shots and dunks. Hard to argue with that. I'm looking forward to LAL-UTH, though. Utah has noone to guard Kobe...

ATL has got to keep the game moving too. They play best in the open court, or the very least with the ball moving often and quickly. Still, the odds are definitely against them for winning the series. I really hope they do though, I'm sort of irritated by Boston. They are a bit...

Dirk held it down, no doubt. He really rose to the occasion and played much tougher. I'm glad to see Dallas won't go down quietly. It's too bad about the Suns though. The Spurs attacked their weaknesses repeatedly...and Parker went bonkers. Yikes.
  14. From High School to Uni: Stuck in Transition

You make a good point on graduating in 4 years. It's perfectly okay, and is very common, to not finish within 4 years. You learn and change so much during college that it can become unfeasible to finish in 4 years. It took me just over 5 to get my degree, and nearly everyone I went to school...
  15. The NBA thread

It's worth noting, though, the a contributing factor to the two Spurs guards slicing up Phoenix is because of all the attention Duncan draws. It's just plain difficult to guard against 2-3 very good scorers. Also, Duncan typically has been carrying them through the tough stretches, whereas...
