Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Now if the NDOU tier could be cleaned up from all the broken stuff running around you may attract some from the vast base of players who still stick to Gen7 OU. Most of them find Gen8 a stale disappointment. Me personally I can't see why on earth anyone would find limitation to be an...
The reason Darm and Vish aren't running through teams is because every player preps their def core for them. And even then they pull their weight just fine. People already had this discussion in GalarOU. If something leaves you no other options but a handful of mons to build it's not healthy...
AV Tangrowth is not a reliable check as +2 Modest Icebeam could blow it away with rocks up and it can't 1HKO back with Gigadrain at -1 spDef. Even after the defense drops it's outside the range of priority esp with screens. MegaToise is braindead easy to pilot with them. Redcard SkillSwap Mew...
I've been testing the Slowbro+spDef Heatran core. Ice beam in lieu of t wave/toxic makes Bro very passive/set up fodder despite Teleport. Without it however it can't check Zygarde. Things like Roost+DD Zard can set up in it's face quite comfortably as what ever teleports out is gonna face it...
How does the traditional utility RotomH with WoW/Twave and Defog compared to the new Nastyplot one in a FWG core? If you have breakers already is it better to run a utility one with either defensive spread or just hp with speed? Being able to role compress ground immunity, hazard control, Darm...
So Lando would be offensive defog with either SD or scarf? If lando is a bulky spread as well I fear the team loses too much offensive presence. But I guess bulky defog Lando or Corv would fit with offensive Heatran. The type synergy is still great.
Who would provide hazard control for the Bro/Tran/Amoonguss core? I used a similar one with Toad/RotomH/Amoonguss that compresses both rocks and defog.
Bisharp has a lot of potential to sweep. But LO recoil would cut that short. Most of the time it clicks the Dark STAB anyway because of how spamable that offensive typing is. When it does click Iron Head it's super effective and a boosting item most of the time not give you a KO.
I'm afraid the Gorilla Tactics in the calculator doesn't work. When I put another ability in the damage is the same. So Scarf Darm will 2HKO the HP only invested Moltres. Rotom Heat however, with a defensive spread with 240 speed to outspeed Ada Bisharp can do similarly what you described...
BlastoiseM is already buffed as an offensive spinner due to rapid spin buff. But it looks like that poor mon will become another casualty. As far as such a clause existing, it wouldn't fit with ND philosophy of including past gen's moves. We're not sticking to cartridge play after all.
How is everyone finding Darm and Vish so far? Does every bulky offense and balance team need dedicated answers for them? But NDOU has a bunch of just as as scary threats running around to be accounted for.
How does one prep a bulky offense core for these threats? I'm really unfamiliar with them as they're kinda new. Vish and Darm from gen 8, MetagrossM , Zygarde and BlastoiseM. It seems like the usual gen7 OU fare that I can look up doesn't quite work on these monsters.
