Just saying, assault vest’s effects are so that only attacking moves can be used(while you get a 1.5x in spedef), which rain dance is not(an attacking move). So I doubt that rain dance would be of use unless you’re knocked off/in magic room(which is in gen 9, I checked). Additionally, soft sand...
