I vote for cartridge-consistent IVs. This is something that the competitive community does know about and is able to keep accurate, so it is not as hazy as event moves are. Having consistent IVs does not change the game at all; it's just a small hassle when building a team that is fixed easily...

I was going through some in-game testing on this, and I believe the base experience of Geodude is incorrect. Defeating a level 19 Geodude with a non-boosted Pokemon (no lucky egg, no pal park or trade) yielded me 198 exp, and not the expected 233. So I believe Geodude's base exp is actually 73.

I had no idea this thread was still alive. I thought that whole battle was pretty meh tbh, but I guess it did go down to the wire. I screwed up a couple of times (by not using Stone Edge on the Moltres switch-in among other things), but there were some things you shouldn't have done yourself...

Just a few thoughts that I would like to have some feedback on: - The best leads are the ones who can get the enemy's lead out of battle as quickly as possible, through phazing or OHKOing. This way, the Ninjask can't pass speed to Rampardos, Tyranitar can't use DD and have the ability to sweep...
