I just battled after switching protect for sub, I do like that, I managed to get more SDs in than with protect alone. there are still a few things to smooth over because my battles are too close for comfort lol, I'd prefer to 4 to 0 them instead of 1-2 to 0

I originally had sticky web instead of t-wave but I figured since shuckle had sticky web I didnt need 2 mons with it. I like the Sub-Scolipede idea, I'll give that a try and see how it works out.

Imo, you cant tell someone how to think in a strategic way. but it's all about your mindset. Like Cerib said, keep battling and get a better understanding of the metagame. I assume you pretty much know the basics of type match-ups and such, so just think of your weaknesses and how to cover them...
