What does this team have for Zard x? Clef is 2hko'd, arcanine can't do anything back, mega sableye can't do anything, skarmory is obviously ko'd, blissey is as well, and gothitelle can't do crap either.

There's also pokemon that you would like CC against that you're faster than, but can't hit because you have focus punch. And they may be able to do just enough to take out your subs.

You don't always have the luxury of having a sub up with Hera, so CC is used so you can actually attack.

Moltres vs heatran will generally end poorly for moltres. Sure neither can do much to eachother but heatran can set up rocks that moltres hates so much and if it has it, Roar it out. If it doesn't, it can simply switch to a threatening teammate.

First of all, neither whimsicott nor a dark type with volt-turn are deadweight. Whimsicott is a solid stop to set up sweepers with priority encore. With stun spore it can spread status and subseed if it wants. And any pokemon with volt switch or u-turn will find use because of the easy momentum...

As a person who's tried out baton pass myself, and beaten several good baton pass teams pretty high up on the ladder(1800ish range) with stall team no less, I can safely say that baton pass isn't broken. It's possible to have pokemon useful outside of beating baton pass and providing other uses...

Hey guys, how do you suggest playing a stall team that abuses taunt? I ended up playing one recently and I couldn't do much because 4 of the other guys mons had taunt.

My main point is that you can take their defense raising boosts in order to better take their stored powers or whatever later. And it is quite likely your offenses will have been boosted too, seeing as baton pass teams sort of need to do that as well.

About BP teams, ditto can also work against BP teams pretty well too. Since every pokemon will be running BP, ditto can send it off to one of your own mons, allowing you to accumulate all the boosts they have.
