Okay, I can agree with that. The problem I have with that is I feel like I can get around those pokemon in comparison to Aegislash, where it is harder to do. Maybe its the obnoxious threat of Kings Shield, or that its harder to scout out what sets its running, or maybe its 150 defenses that...

I don't think you need to run two checks against one good pokemon in OU. I don't think there are other big threats in OU other than Aegislash that require two or more checks. And this would mean that this pokemon is overcentralizing, right? It does in my mind.

Thats conditional on the pokemon its facing. And a misprediction from Bisharp, for example, will result in a Sacred Sword to the face. With Aegislash on your side, you always know what you can lure out, and what you can't. Its always an big advantage to run one on your team for that purpose...

The only problem with this is that in Aegislash's case, the 50/50's he causes are far more advantageous in his case, than in the opponents case. Thats what I have gathered through reading this post, and playing with/against an Aegislash, its not hard to see why. Factoring in 50/50's, the power...

If I may... I feel like a little more diversity is a little better than too little. The reason why is because, and again this is MY OPINION (for those of you who might take what I say as some sort of fact), is that it requires more people to try to build better teams. That takes skill. That...

And they aren't incredibly reliable against Aegislash, which has been a pretty consistent argument since about 30 or 40 pages ago. And if you are forced to put more than one Aegislash check on your team to have an effective team in OU, while that very same pokemon forces out what used to be...

You are changing the frame of my argument, to fit your own. Sorry, it doesn't work like that. The point I've been trying to make is that, because of the threat/overcentralization/50 50's/etc is that when playing in the current meta, everyone is always thinking of Aegislash. That, in and of...

Its okay to me, because it doesn't fit my play style but still recongnizable. And while you can think its the greatest core in the world, what you are clearly failing to see is that people seem to currently see it as "Aegislash's decent-ish checks first", and "Good/Great core second". Again...

Its an okay core. My point was, and still is, seeing those pokemon will bring to mind "Aegislash checks" before "Good/Great core". Thats the kind of effect Aegislash has on the meta.

The problem is that very few people who are pro-ban side feel these are checks that aren't easily played around or just pitifully unreliable. But the fact that someone would have to bring a core based on dealing with one pokemon OVER it being a decent core in general, is a problem. I bet you...

And yet, there are still more pokemon that have lower base attack and special attack that use those moves. Along with Stance Change to help tank hits before attacking, and Kings Shield, we might as well argue that having a high base atk and spec atk makes it good. Almost too good. This suspect...

np: XY OU Suspect Testing Round 5 - Ghost of Perdition

I wouldn't say that is true at all. No pokemon in OU is nearly as unique as Aegislash. It isn't like every pokemon can break physical attackers with Kings Shield, tank a hit in Shield Forme, and attack with at least a base of 150 atk or spec atk with moves clearly not many other pokemon outside...

After reading this I kinda realized a new argument maybe. Now, as always, this is my opinion, so nobody has to eat me about it. First, in OU, you have team preview. You see Aegislash and you're like "Oh great, well at least I have my 'insert Aegislash check here'". This automatically puts the...
