Whats the difference between leading an azelf or aerodactyl other than aerodactyls better speed? and also what should be considered a "simple question"?

The only thing I can see is that aerodactyl has better speed and different typing. I think that makes aerodactyl better. So im not sure why people would choose azelf, so why?

without sash its killed in 1 hit by almost every lead, and ive only met 1 sandstorm lead and no hail leads. Regardless, if they have sandstorm/hail and are smart theyll kill me instantly anyway
