If you use the Old Man glitch in RBY to catch a Pokemon with level >100 you can feed it rare candies until it hits level 256. One more rare candy will make the Pokemon level 1.

Set-up moves are viable in Singles, but Doubles is far too fast-paced to count on using Swords Dance or Nasty Plot. Spread moves are weakened in Doubles, so an unSTAB'd Earthquake will struggle to even 2HKO most opponents. Maybe Garchomp if you want to spam Earthquake?

I haven't had much trouble at all getting HA Pokemon off GTS. You can easily disable all the "special Pokemon" requests from showing up, people are usually good about labeling HA Pokemon (especially since it's usually the selling point,) and I can always find a couple of people offering lvl 1s...

I tried a Staraptor with perfect HP and the HP power item with a 6 IV Ditto with the speed power item. The offspring only had attack and speed as its perfect stats. (In ORAS)
