There might be a possible build to have her use a Mental Herb to stop Encore.

Gothitelle with Shadow Tag and a good Spd can make use of Charm for allowing her to hold her own against physical attackers she can out speed. Calm Mind like crazy. Leftovers to regain HP. Maybe a Substitute to take attacks would allow her to land a Charm if the opponent drops another Physical...
