    If it's a trend, I suppose it is a reactionary measure to the rise of Modest Volcanions and Heatrans and, consequently, the sudden crowdedness of those Speed tiers which are above Adamant Bisharp but below Jolly. At least, that would be my reasoning for running Jolly over Adamant.
