  1. Ditto

This would still lead to a huge advantage given away based entirely on a coinflip. Whoever wins Ditto vs Ditto ends up with a speedy choiced full-Ditto-health sweeper, and whoever loses no longer has a revenge Ditto. Although, we can't really be sure he wouldn't copy the speed enhancement in...
  2. Ditto

Mutual Assured Destruction. Assume one trainer, Red, is ready to sweep the opponent Blue's team. Blue takes a hit, sends out scarf Ditto for revenge. What if- and here's where I blow your minds- Red takes a hit and sends out his own Scarf Ditto, who changes into his former sweeper only with...
  3. Risky Ambipom Moveset

Why not just do this with tyranitar? Sandstream finishes off some focus sashers, and he gets stab on the pursuit, as well as having a much greater survivability (barrin fighting attacks, which both pokes fall to quite easily...)
  4. Sunflora who?

Uh huh... with a base speed of thirty? Defense is 55 base, which is pitiful, and a special defense of 85 with 75 hp put it at a slightly better special defense and a good bit worse phsyical defense than starmie. And why is starmie a good pokemon? Because it has the speed to back up its Sp.att...
  5. GO CLEFFA! CleffaBattle Warstory

A bit of time ago, but still... It might have actually missed. sand veil, anyone?
  6. Shiny HUNTING?

Hrmmm... I know it's a bit off-topic, but can anyone find an accurate translation of that Japanese site with the special "event" weathers? I saw a thunderstorm once, but I'm wondering if the sandstorm/rain/dust ever clears up for a day or two. Getting a Beldum swarm on a sandstorm free day would...
  7. "Luck is Power" Warstory )Powerful_Blaziken88 vs XDominatorzx

Percentages really do add a lot into the battle, especially with tanks like Heatran on the field. Also, the score goes from 2-2 to 1-1 with only your opponent dying. Might want to fix. Finally, any reason for randomly capitalizing some moves some of the time? It was a bit distracting-ish. As...
  8. Why the split qualification of tiers? (Alternative Tiers)

Having a BL tier is, in my opinion, simply a hint for newcomers of what works and what doesn't. BL is just for pokes that are generally picked less than most of the OU, but still too powerful for UU. It's less of a tier of it's own; more like a subdivision of the OU tier. Likewise, NU is a...
  9. Go Butterfree !

Right. I have a less than solid comprehension for the obvious. I am ashamed. Oh, that strength bit was kind of sarcasm, but hey, I'm also a fan of maxing out hp on pretty much everything. I still have yet to participate in an actual competitive battle; I'm just trying to train all that I need...
  10. Go Butterfree !

Wow. How did you survive all of those Strengths, and from such a well-balanced team as well? You're the man. I've never doubted you. You made it rain. Anyway, just for kicks, what were the other moves in butterfree's pool? I'd have definately u-turned on that sceptile... Also, what's his speed...
  11. Alert: Use Brick Break on Medicham. *Info inside*

I didn't even know people used high-jump kick anymore... there are so many better options nowadays. But I agree with every word of this post, though it is old news to me... if the opponent knows you have HJK, they will bait you with a 2x weak or 4x weak and switch to a ghost more often than not...
  12. Scizor

Iron head makes more sense than brick break on the leader set, unless you fear steels. Stab seems much more useful than just your average base 75 fighting move, and the ability to flinch works well with agility.
