lol are you kidding me, pidgeot should never see a light in any metagame.
  2. np: UU - Can't Touch This

you do know that Milotic won't get the ohko always on Kabutops right? anyways, rain dance teams are just too hard to handle even if you have a check. the only way to beat it is paralyze or killing rain time.
  3. np: UU - Can't Touch This

just a quick observation, the top dogs are losing usage. venusaur is guaranteed to drop usage. arcanine has lost its shine right now. with the tendancy to check stat up boosters in this metagame, people lean away from arcanine and venusaur since they really can't do much to them in return.
  4. np: UU - Can't Touch This

did some testing today and clefable is seriously the mvp on this metagame. encore is the crux obviously since it can shut down this set-up oriented metagame and it could open up some openings for your team mates. encore in general is such a convinient move.

  6. A New Ice Age?- UU Hail Discussion

if that's the case then nominate it bl material for support characteristics. by the way, auto weather is an argument because of the amount of support its providing. answer this question: does it not fit the description when we're talking about support characteristics. doesn't snover make an...

i can attest to the effectiveness of hail because it has got me a rating of 1540 in a single day with an effective balanced-hail team i made. a lot of my victories came from hax thanks to offensive subfroslass which is capable of sweeping teams that don't prepare for STAB Blizzards. you add the...
  8. np: UU - The Boys Are Back in Town

i started using a special offensive team that destroys this physically defensive metagame. seriously, i can't believe how much wins i'm getting with a special heavy offense team.
  9. np: UU - Six Deadly Suspects

Slowbro does a nice job with rain dance teams. Thunder Wave should do the trick on both Ludicolo and Qwillfish who are really the most threatening sweepers with rain dance on the field. Ludicolo can do alright damage with Grass Knot and can be crippled by Thunder Wave. Qwillfish gets Thunder...
  10. np: UU - Six Deadly Suspects

Brave Bird and Close Combat are good enough coverage only walled by Rotom which is very rare and still suffers a hefty amount of damage from Brave Bird behind a sub. The only true counter to it is Luxray which is also rare in usage. The set is broken itself because it wrecks walls that try to...
  11. np: UU - Six Deadly Suspects

I have noticed that the teams feel more loose without these guys. The lead slot has been more loose now that Crobat is gone. Guys could set up Rain Dance easily and set up their Trick Rooms, etc. A lot of people I played are using frailer leads. Crobat had the combination of both speed and...
  12. DPP OU Metagame Analysis Feb 09

It's probably the presence of Scizor, people double think when they place Tyranitar in their team. U-Turn and Bullet Punch are two great moves that make Tyranitar double think. The same applies to Latias and Scizor is a good check to it.
