Yeah I agree but it is what it is. I hope eventually it's on the table as a suspect test but even if that day eventually comes, suspect testing mons will be a higher priority and will take a while.

There's a difference between adopting what's in Champions because it's in Champions and adopting what's in Champions because it's how VGC works. The choice of dex and item list wasn't done because those were the only options for VGC. Implementing item clause was done only because VGC rules...
If making it 6v6 is fine, then allowing duplicate items is also fine. There is no reason one is "more intrusive" as a change. Both are changes to allow us to play OU the way it has literally always been played for over 20 years.
Why does the metagame have to be level 100 at all? I understand (and agree with) the argument for removing item clause, but making mons level 100 instead of 50 feels a bit arbitrary. I don't see any compelling reason that one is required for a healthy meta.
The item pool is already incredibly barren, item clause would make it even worse. But I'm open to testing sleep once the tier has settled a little and all the broken threats have been banned.
