    Man United, not Man U
  2. The Smogon Runners Thread!

Part of track is definitely just meeting new people. I've made so many friends from other towns that I never would've met otherwise. And yah, I'm pretty lucky to be on a team like the one I'm on. Everyone's friends and nobody's a dick. There's a strict rule of conduct though: if you leak the...
  3. The Smogon Runners Thread!

interesting fact: 6'2'' is the average height of olympian 400 runners. and mixing pokemon and school related activities is definitely never a good idea. The track locker room is somewhat of a sanctuary for us pokemon trainers/runners at my school, a place where you can be free to whip out the...

16:40's legit. I think the correlation is just the idea of training and getting better. When you're trying to compete at a high level in either pokemon or running you gotta put some effort into it.
  5. I have forgot to streetpkmn

I NEVER have sexual fantasies about starmie lol. I'd definitely invest some in HP, the one I run now has maxed out special attack and speed and I just don't like it, can't really take hits.

I'm pretty sure nike has a facility where the infield of the track is a forrest so you feel more calm when you're racing; it's pretty sick
  7. The Smogon Runners Thread!

I would never suggest doubling that late in the season unless you're using the meet as some kind of workout, or if you're trying to get qualification or something. It's kind of like using draco meteor when you're losing 6-1

wow those times aren't anything special in NYC? At the New England meet, you'd win the 100, come 4th in the 200, come second in the 400, come third in the 800, and be top 15 in the 1600. In indoor you'd win the 600 and come third in the 1000. In conclusion, you should run track in college
  9. The Smogon Runners Thread!

ha ha I can respect that remix01 those times are pretty nasty for an incoming freshman, what state do u live in Junior, run the sprints 100-11.7 200-23.5 300-39.1 400-56.x (in the middle of January outside with no spikes) all these are from sophmore year, I had surgery and missed all of...
  10. Mosh pits

honestly just not a fan of moshpits. Like you said, I go to see the band wall of death on the other hand...
  11. The Smogon Runners Thread!

A thread for Track kids on Smogon-throwers and jumpers welcome. How many kids on your xc/track teams play pokemon? I'd say a good 10 do on mine out of about 70.
  12. 2008 Olympics

Aaaaah a fellow track runner on these forums; we have four captains for outdoor next year (me being one of them), and 2 of us play. I don't think Leo is going to win, especially over Lagat. My friend isn't a fan of Bernard because he's just become an American citizen and he thinks it's unfair...
  13. Pokemon vs Chess

I think I have to say pokemon here. Yes, pokemon does rely on luck in some aspects of the game, but that's part of the stratedgy. It's waying the chances of what is and isn't going to be a risky move. And as it has been said, there are 493 pokemon and 467 attacks.
  14. My team that won Smogon Tour!

not surprised you won with that team lol. You sure got creative with the evs
  15. The Smogon "Suspect Test" Ladder is in full effect!

call me a n00b but this is just dumb. but it's going to be interesting to see how it affects competitive play
