Have not played pokemon while growing up (because we were poor in a third world country)

Now that I live in a proper country and have money I decided to buy Pokemon SnS to see what the fuss is about and got stuck.

Now I want to stop sucking at competetive so am here to do some research and potentially make some like minded friends! :)
