  1. Research Group Mk. II #3 - Zangoose, Rotom-H, Braviary, Eelektross

Yeah, let's roll another round. I'll probably play with Zangoose, because he looks badass, although chances are I'll end up trying all of them. Alt - Norma Jeane
  2. The UU Mafia (Won by RT.)

    In because this is awesome.
  3. UU The UU Open I - Round 1

Round 1: Stormsire Round 2: Stormsire Despite that, they were actually pretty good games. GG, emirinho.
  4. Research Group Mk. II #2 - See OP for Details

So I've been playing a bit with Honchkrow, and he has just been demolishing teams. I've been running a wallbreaker-sweeper setup of Machamp/Heracross/Honchkrow, with the double moxie allowing me to sweep out of nowhere at any time, and Machamp tears through unprepared teams anyway. I must say...
  5. The No-Hazard UU Mini-tournament! [Won by RT.]

Lost to Dragonboy52 in a good game. EDIT: Ninja'd
  6. np: UU Stage 7 - Brand New Day

That is true, but I've found that Nidoking functions fine with SR, even if the loss of coverage does lower his chances of sweeping. Even with 3 offensive moves, he still is a dangerous offensive presence for the opponent, especially if they aren't sure what coverage moves he is running.
  7. np: UU Stage 7 - Brand New Day

I actually never knew about this =/. Adds a point in Nidoking's favour, but Body Slam still has a good chance to 2HKO. Did not consider that, but it certainly does work. Actually, with this in mind, and the fact that you only have to hit one Focus Blast, Nidoking suddenly seems lot more...
  8. np: UU Stage 7 - Brand New Day

I thought I might run a few calcs on the Nidoking vs Snorlax matchup, just to clarify how effective really is. 252 Timid LO Sheer Force Nidoking using Focus Blast vs 252/252 Careful Snorlax = 44.05% - 51.85% (2HKO on average with SR) 252 Timid LO Sheer Force Nidoking using Focus Blast vs...
  9. UU The UU Open I - Signups

    In.
  10. Research Group Mk. II #2 - See OP for Details

I will be using Honchkrow and Nidoking. Alt - Parametric Scratch that, probably just Honchkrow.
  11. np: UU Stage 7 - Brand New Day

Notice that I did say Rhyperior being better than Golurk was generally true. Naturally, due to the difference in typing, they have different applications in play. Example, the aforementioned ability to beat fighting types such as Cobalion and Heracross, something which Rhyperior can't do as...
  12. np: UU Stage 7 - Brand New Day

I'm not claiming him to be superior to Rhyperior in every way, or even superior in general. I merely wanted to say that Golurk is now completely viable, and can find himself a place on teams. The comparisons to Rhyperior are apt, insofar as Rhyperior can do everything, except spinblock, better...
  13. The No-Hazard UU Mini-tournament! [Won by RT.]

Despite this being my second post, I'm in if I can be.
  14. np: UU Stage 7 - Brand New Day

I'm going to have to agree with this. I've been running Golurk in a few of my teams as a physical tank, and he does his job respectably, whilst also being a spinblocker and SR user. Indeed, he doesn't take hits or recover reliably like Gligar can, he doesn't hit quite as hard as Rhyperior or...
