    ^ IIRC, in both games, the EVs get given to all three. Every Pokémon that gains EXP will also gain EVs.

    ^ Random Number Generator. It is what the game uses to determine Gender, Nature, etc. It is possible to influence it in order to create a certain condition, however. For example, a popular abuse method is one used to force the game to produce a shiny Egg.
