Going for 1700 ELO and Beyond

It's funny you should say that, because I've actually been switching between this Hydreigon and Scarfchomp regularly! As for MCX, you're absolutely right. Do you see any value in keeping Hydreigon, or is everybody in agreement that Garchomp brings more to the team? Because another great thing...

Going for 1700 ELO and Beyond

Hey, everyone. My name is John and I'm crazy about OU battles. I play a lot of different Pokemon teams but this is my 'No Nonsense' main team. I just switched over to Showdown from PO recently and my current rating is 1600 ELO. I'm trying to get as high up there as possible. Without any more...

    Thundurus-T [QC 0/3]

You make a good argument. Since last gen's set was also Modest, I'll match it.

    Sylveon [QC: 0/3]

The reason is because Wish isn't always a good option. Wish + Protect can at times be grade A setup bait for lots of sweepers, and in situations where your health is low it's nice to have an alternative healing method that doesn't waste turns.

I disagree with the nature you've suggested for the Agility set, and here's why: -The 330 Natural Speed he can obtain with +nature puts him ahead of a large group of pokemon without the need to boost; as a random example, Timid allows Thundurus-T to confidently revenge kill all MCY, Mega...

    Mr. Mime

Somebody might need to confirm this, but I'm pretty sure that snatch actually works on Whirlwind / Roar. Although Mr. Mime is immune to the latter, Snatch could be used to protect from Skarmory if you are for whatever reason not running Espeon. Snatch also (of course) steals opposing buffs etc...

    Sylveon [QC: 0/3]

I think that Draining Kiss is worthy of a slash in the first set, or at least a mention in OO.

    Thundurus-T [QC 0/3]

In the interest of comprehension, I felt that it should at least be brought up that Thundurus gets additional attack options outside of Thunderbolt / Volt Switch / Grass Knot / Focus Blast. I'm very aware that they are poor options, and I'll be sure to firmly explain why they are not suggested...

    whoops! I changed it.

    Goodra [QC 2/3]

Might be worth mentioning that Goodra is a decent Curse user. Something like this: Goodra @ Leftovers Careful, Sap Sipper EVS: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Moves: Curse, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Aqua Tail up to you. My buddy has had a lot of success with it. If you get some entry hazards set up it...

I'll add the second part in for sure. I'm going to rewrite the first part to clarify, hopefully you will agree with me in a moment! EDIT: Updated.

Yeah, I agree. I changed it as you suggested. Thanks!

Thanks for the EV note, I changed it. Do you really think U-Turn is that bad? It was a set last gen and it was decent. Has something changed? EDIT: I just went ahead and used your suggestion. It's not worth the debate :)

Thanks, dude. I'll get working on these.
