Haven't had one personally, but I'd assume they have to. KO'ing them all and then being SOL for Gholdengo (and Ghimmi) seems like it would be a huge oversight, unless they are in raids (haven't seen one). Maybe try date skipping via save/game close? It works with other things like the auctions.

Quag and Clefable take way more neutral hits, so comparable bulk is kind of moot. That's Skeledirge's issue.

Had this same line of thought and couldn't help considering this referring to their potential typings: ie, a rock/steel "Virizion", and a fire/electric "Suicune". Surely the duo won't get clapped by earthquakes alone though, right?

May add Glimmora or Dundunsparce depending on when I get them. Pretty set on 4 of these, though.

^ That was more or less my point. Even in doubles TR, it isn't going to be able to sit there and just fire off Torch Song's for boosts. Not a lot of hope for it.

The unfortunate thing for fire gator is H-Typhlosion's existence soon. Pretty much fully outclasses Skele given their more offensive appropriate typing, especially in doubles with H-Ty getting Eruption. I expect cat and duck to carve out bigger roles in both metas.

I totally expected to love the design and it be not competitively great pre-leaks. Now, total opposite.

Especially in doubles/VGC. It will be a force in that format with the new sub legendaries (assuming their ability procs it like intimidate). SO could be nasty for 6v6, though.
