  1. Desert Mindgames. An OU Warstory

"The fact that it has CM leads be to believe that is a Sub CM Jirachi." At this point, you've already seen Sub and CM, so believing it to be a Sub CM Jirachi was a very good guess on your part.
  2. Pokemon Black & White, aka Gen 5. Coming to Japan in Fall 2010.

AI that can actually switch to gain an advantage isn't as complicated as everyone is making it out to be. If anyone remembers Stadium, the AI would occasionally switch out of bad match-ups (you have a Charizard out against the cpu's Venusaur, the cpu switches to Blastoise, amazing).
  3. This Room is Tricky (An Ubers Warstory)

Good warstory, and some interesting pokes on both sides. The fact that you guys knew each other's teams doesn't, in my opinion, make the battle less interesting. I don't know why everyone says that, considering most people spout "prediction is just glorified guessing, blah blah blah," and in a...
  4. New and "creative" moveset/EV spread thread. Mk. 4

They do the same damage when both are neutral, but the point of the set is obviously to get through Blissey, who takes 2x from Focus Punch. From my experience, most people will switch Blissey into Swampert all day provided they have enough health to have a chance to Softboiled/Wish as most...

  6. Sleep Clause: Clarification, or exception.

This can happen if your opponent is faster and uses a sleep move on a poke that has Encore and a Lum/Chesto Berry: -Opponent uses Spore -You fall asleep -Lum/Chesto wakes you up -You Encore If your opponent decides to stay in to Spore again, you switch to Dugtrio to take the Spore. Now, your...
  7. Sleep Clause: Clarification, or exception.

Is this to say that if you have already put an opposing poke to sleep, that you can no longer use Breloom until it wakes up? What about 3rd gen when all it had was Effect Spore? Though no one has mentioned it yet, I'll just point out that using Magic Coat to bounce back a sleep move doesn't...
  8. What is "UU"? [RMT]

To start, I don't really like Pinsir as your lead, as the most common leads in my experience are Crobat, Ambipom, and Roserade. Pinsir doesn't like facing any of those, and you will likely be forced out, giving your opponent the momentum from the start. As you mentioned, a strong, powerful...
  9. Dragons In The Desert (OU RMT)

Glancing over your team I noticed some strange EV choices. First, 80 speed isn't enough for a DD TTar. I would suggest running at least 116 to put you at 280 after one DD, letting you outrun neutral Lucario and other base 90's. From there you could bump it up a few points to outrun things...
  10. A Battle of Imps and Titans: An Uber Warstory

Pretty entertaining battle; I like the descrepencies in the trains of thought in some of the comments between you two. However, as I mentioned before, Gen., there is still some of the following going on: 8=====D ~~~~~~ :nerd: Smogonites----Praise-----Gen. As a few have posted, people tend to...
  11. New and "creative" moveset/EV spread thread "Mark 2"

It's pretty obvious your experience of Ursaring consists of reading the analysis page. Quick Feet is a great ability, especially since there's no way for your opponent to know it's not Guts until you surprisingly outrun and KO something (savvy players might realize it when they see Toxic Orb...
  12. More Thoughts on Stealth Rock

I think you're missing my point. I know you were kidding about EQ not being broken. The fact is you (and many others) are saying an attack can't be broken just because it deals a lot of damage to some pokes. While I'm not saying SR is broken, it can't be compared to attack moves in that sense.
  13. More Thoughts on Stealth Rock

I'm just pointing out this sentence because it's an argument I see made often when talking about SR: SR isn't broken even though it makes some pokes unusable, because this other attacking move does as well. I'm not making a point about SR being broken here, I'm just pointing out that this...
  14. strategies for countering trick

Those options don't work unless the poke you already have in when they send in a Trick user has one of those moves, and even if it did, it still doesn't stop a Scarf from being tricked, as the Trick user will be faster because of it.
  15. Absol (Full Revamp) +

The standard critical hit chance is 6.25%, so Super Luck brings it up to 12.5%. Using a Scope Lens boosts it to 25% before using a high CH chance move, which makes the odds 50%.
