I don't know. I'm positive Solgaleo and Lunala have about a 4.5% catch rate, which is pretty high of a catch rate. I think you might be able to re fight Solgaleo since having it is a key part to the story. However, I caught Lunala with my first Pokeball at yellow health with no status condition...
