  1. Pokémon Decidueye

Rough Skin + Iron Barbs too But in terms of matchups, what does Long Reach actually accomplish? Keeping Birdman Junior in against Garchomp/Ferrothorn does not sound appealing even with Long Reach.
  2. Pokémon Decidueye

Is Long Reach really even better than Overgrow? When does it matter?
  3. New Year's Resolutions

It's just a traditional thing to I guess. To be fair New Year's Resos are often known for their fragility. Gym memberships surge January, then fall in February. People post Facebook statuses talking of all the glamorous things they will do, but then months later, nothing has happened. And so on...
  4. Pokémon Araquanid

STABmons Araquanid is probably the nut, someone did cals earlier in this thread that showed Araquanid Aqua Jet is similar in strength to Crawdaunt's (but it has 68/92/132 defenses, instead of 65/85/55). Megahorn doesn't even really matter that much; Leech Life is probably more useful on such a...
  5. Pokémon Araquanid

Happy New Year (from Florida I guess)! Also I wouldn't really expect a nerf to the ability. Araquanid is balanced around the OPness of Water Bubble in the same way that Slaking is balanced around how awful Truant is. Even with how great Water Bubble is I still doubt Araquanid will be in OU anyways.
  6. Pokémon Decidueye

It's an archer so clearly Thousand Arrows Decidueye is on the way. Would be Option #9 or so and really drive in the ever present 4MSS that defines Birdman.
  7. Pokémon Decidueye

I do feel you in that Decidueye is a bit of a bummer because it is so tantalizing close to being good. But at the same time, Pokemon is full players like Decidueye who miss their potential. Beartic not learning Earthquake despite being a 600 lb bear (when Blissey of all things knows EQ) and...
  8. Pokémon Araquanid

It's possible GF goes all Gale Wings on Water Bubble in Gen 8, but I wouldn't expect anything otherwise. Araquanid is a really bad Pokemon without Water Bubble, and is largely balanced around having 3 abilities.
  9. Pokémon Decidueye

Power is always contextual. Really depends on where Decidueye ends up tier wise, although honestly as the arguable best Ghost/Grass type (his competition sucks, but still) he could see niche use even in OU. As someone said pages ago he offers quite a bit of role compression (high SpD pivot...
  10. Pokémon Araquanid

I see your point but question the "utility" of a mono attacking Pokemon, Scald or not. The point of this set would likely just be to sweep/be unkillable once its counters have been removed and the game can be won with pure Water spam. Playing this is as a generic wall/bulky pivot doesn't really...
  11. Pokémon Lurantis

Lurantis is the most hopeless Pokemon of this Gen that I can think of. Bad movepool/typing, bad stats, can't abuse Contrary very well. Gets a unique physical Solar Beam in Solar Blade, but base 45 Spe and embarrassing physical coverage prevent it from taking advantage of this in any way shape or...
  12. Pokémon Decidueye

Probably something like: Decidueye @ Leftovers Careful Nature (+SpD, -SpA) 252 HP/4 Atk/252 SpD - Spirit Shackle - Defog - Roost - Toxic/Leaf Blade Shackle + Toxic messes with walls, Defog undoes their entry hazard work, if you have Toxic Spikes support Leaf Blade can act as secondary STAB...
  13. Pokémon Salazzle

This is nitpicky but I doubt +3 HP is worth getting outsped by other Salazzle, uncommon as that may be. +3 HP means nothing on a Pokemon with defenses this bad.
  14. Pokémon Wishiwashi

Not really, running -Spe has virtually no cost on a 30 Spe Pokemon like Wishiwashi, and as stated above, uninvested EQ > Hidden Power Ground (also frees up Hidden Power for Grass/Electric if you want).
  15. Pokémon Araquanid

RestTalk + 2 Water moves seems like the best of Araquanid's unique advantages. I'm unsure what EVs/Nature are best though. Example set would be: Araquanid @ Leftovers Adamant (+Atk, -SpA) 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def - Liquidation - Waterfall - Rest - Sleep Talk Just set up shop once all their Water...
