Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I think I was just missing my seed.
In any case, I went ahead and just hatched the egg w/o doing anything else, and what do you know...I got what I wanted. It's good to get lucky sometimes. :p
So I decided that my new project is breeding a Perfect Jolly Larvitar with Outrage and Dragon Dance.
After reading Tesseraction's BW Breeding guide, I have the following:
1. A Male Perfect Jolly Haxorus with Outrage and Dragon Dance
2. A Female Perfect Mild Pupitar
3. An Everstone, which I...
Hmm, I didn't know about this feature. Thanks for pointing that out. :)
So I did find adjacent seeds, and Winters Zombie was correct. There is a similar seed with the same time but different Timer0.
Anyways, after hitting the wrong IV seed several times, I managed to find a pattern in the...
Booting up at the wrong time? That would mean I got the wrong IV seed 5 times in a row after getting the right IV seed 5 times in a row. I'm not saying it's not possible, but it's highly unlikely because I'm doing the same thing every time.
I'm currently on my third try to get the correct IV...
I'm trying to understand how moving NPCs affect Wild Pokemon capture.
From reading the initial posts, my current understanding is that moving NPCs affect the PIDRNG, but not the MTIVRNG. Is this right?
I'm currently trying to RNG a Perfect Jolly Pupitar on Route 15. There are at least two...
Two questions:
1. Does a moving NPC advance the RNG during Sweet Scent?
2. I know that an off-screen moving NPC will advance the RNG. Is it possible to get away from it far enough for it not to affect the RNG, or is does it still have an effect for an entire area?
I GOT IT! :D
Big thanks to everyone who provided input for this particular RNG project! :)
After taking a short break, I noticed that on the post where I showed the PIDRNG screenshot, I didn't put Synch Nature as Jolly. When I did, RNG Reporter generated a Frame 51 result, which is the...
Okay, so I just did 67 advances with two Chatots, and I ended up getting a Level 28 Boldore in Slot 1, which is 4 slots away from the one I want.
What went wrong? :(
EDIT: And yes, I have something recorded on both Chatots.
Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for clearing that up. :)
After putting in my initial seed, into the main window and pushing the Calculate button, this is what I get:
If the Starting frame is 44, and I pick frame 111, does that mean I have to advance the frame 67 times?
Okay, I'm having a stupid moment. Where is the PIDRNG on RNG Reporter? I know you said it's on the main screen, but I'm not finding it....
This is actually my second time RNGing, and the first time, I only used a Standard seed to pick up a Perfect Naughty Zekrom. There weren't too many...
For those of you reading this post, this was my original situation.
I completely forgot about the Frame formula. :(
Here's my new frame 1 spread:
I've been trying for the last hour to pick up that Axew, but I keep getting a Level 31 Boldore. I've both walked and Sweet Scented to get an...
How does the process of RNGing Wild Pokemon using the Standard Seed work?
I have the White Version. I'm using RNG Reporter 9.81 BETA. Here's my seed:
Before I move on, I'd like to note that:
1. I'm not using an AR.
2. I'm not pressing any buttons until the Game Freak logo appears.
3...
