It looks very strong and versatile. It has the stats to get a boosted attack, special attack or speed under electric terrain (or energy booster) depending on what you want to do with it. It's typing is also excellent and it has a very good movepool. It honestly might be too strong and get banned...

Well yes that would be the reason if it happened but Cress has been a problem in VGC while Darkrai hasn't and VGC is the primary reason for nerfs

I don't think it's safe to say. The problem with Darkrai was its signature move which already got nuked (at not even because of it). But if that happens it'll be nice to see it in ou (or maybe even lower depending on how the meta goes)
