I'm a couple of weeks into my first year at Princeton, so I can try to answer questions if people are interested. Not sure if there are any other Smogoners here, given that chaos is no longer pursuing his PhD.

Perhaps he's in the wrong field. You don't always need to blatantly falsify data if you want to deceive the public. In nutritional science, all you need to do is cherry pick variables and results. Is behavioral science subject to similar tactics?

It's also worth noting that a 3.4 GPA will make it very difficult to get into any of the "good" schools without a very compelling and unique reason for them to let you in.

Got the Regents' scholarship at UC Berkeley, so I'll probably be going there (still waiting on Harvard decisions, but after rejections from both Stanford and MIT I'm not optimistic :P). e: also got into carnegie-mellon but money's not going to be as good
