    For those with problems in Win 8 I have currently working Instacheck on it, I installed Wincap and I run Instacheck. In Shared Connection I have selected Ethernet and then before I start checking I select my ethernet wifi card that is name something like Atheros Ethernet Controller. Hope it helps!
