Making pokemon follow you will take so much extra time for Game Freak. Don't forget they also have to add what the pokemon are feeling. Having pokemon follow you is not that big of a deal. Game Freak seems to be emphasizing that these games are "new" in a way not including their release date and graphics. Maybe this is a sequel, which would keep the unofficial canon intact. Also why would there be megas in the remake hoenn and not the old one. So I think this game could take place...- yosoo
