Stone Edge helps against Flying-type pokemon like Mandibuzz, Dragonite, and Zapdos, while Substitute helps it setup against would be switch-ins like Great Tusk and Iron Hands, as well as shielding it from status afflictions from Pokemon like Manaphy and Corrosion Pecharunt. moves like Manaphy's Scald and Toxic from Corrosion Pecharunt. Zamazenta-C plays best on offensive teams, so it appreciates entry hazard and dual screen setters screens support from Pokemon like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Deoxys-D, which either help it with setting up or taking KOs.
