Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe Tera Type: Rock
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge - Knock Off - Pursuit - Stealth Rock
Mega Tyranitar is an excellent option on a myriad of team compositions, sporting great utility with Knock Off and Stealth Rock and providing crucial resistances against many common offensive threats like Volcarona, Iron Moth, and Zapdos. Knock Off allows Mega Tyranitar to remove items from switch-ins such as Ferrothorn, Landorus-T, and Great Tusk, greatly impeding their longevity. Pursuit lets Mega Tyranitar threaten to trap and remove foes such as Tapu Lele Choice locked into Psychic, Iron Moth, and Heatran. Additionally, the threat of Pursuit forces foes like the Tapu Lele to play quite predictably, easing the burden for teammates such as Galarian Slowking not having to fear Psychic-type attacks lest they be trapped by Mega Tyranitar. A solid matchup into common Defoggers like Zapdos and Moltres allows Mega Tyranitar to proficiently set up Stealth Rock, while Knock Off removing Heavy-Duty Boots allows its own entry hazards to incur damage easier.
This set uses the idea of luring ttar for a certain threat, like stored power mtias or bulky Volcarona if you want to Tera something else in a game. This team, while being very old, showcases this concept perfectly.
Gking baits much better.
mTtar is scared of Focus Blast on TornT until you click something to bait the utility set.
And even if they think you’re utility they don’t enjoy taking UTurn chip much meanwhile a mTtar is VERY likely to come in on a Gking off the bat.
Dragapult is an amazing source of immediate power due to its near unresisted STAB combination, solid Special Attack, and excellent Speed tier, which outspeeds the majority of the unboosted metagame. Equipping Choice Specs allows Dragapult to break through Pokemon such as Gliscor, Zamazenta with its STAB moves. Flamethrower threatens Kingambit and Ferrothron. Every team is forced to run a way of beating Dragapult in this tier due to it barely having any hard counters.
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 265-313 (82 - 96.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

okay so kind of a silly guy especially since it is nonexistent in the meta and also could just be clicking banded bullet punch or some garbage
but i thought of steel/psychic being a good way to both bait weak policy and resist draco
+2 speed tiered for pult specifically lol

Tweaked some EV's, still can spinblock and stop hazard removal and do gholdengho things™ Sorta loses its matchup against great tusk though, but Make it Rain still OHKO's after a bit of chip.
This is also a reminder that submissions including just specially ev'd pokemon or pokemon not listed on the vr will not be considered. (unless you explain why this lure is good; applies for both).
Eg: Sets given similar to the one given by prof turtle will not be considered next time.
Sets like Khasib Berry Gholdengo will be considered
