I said that I'd be back and then got distracted, whoops.

I don't know how I feel about the thread state atm. Gut says that we land on a misvote with skip/vizh votes after thinking about it, but I'm not sure about new leads.

-I don't like CK's flip between Vizh and skipper, it doesn't feel like both of them posted much for CK to go from Vizh to skip, especially when he justified the initial Vizh through citing people saying that skip is playing to his townmeta/could be miselim bait, what changed?

-I don't find NE's suggestion to vote pulsar or DbD inspiring, what are you achieving with the pulsar elim and why is it better than voting a more active player?

-Don't like Tommy's vote on Lechen because uh what were aiming to do voting a lowposter exactly? I don't think this is as bad as the other people I've mentioned, but Lechen himself isn't going to be threatened by a vanity vote asking him to contribute.

-There's enough in this thread for AligningStars to have more reads than his RVS case on Vizh, which makes me think that he's a good vote right about now.

-I'm w/e about pulsar, although in the games I've played with her in, she's usually D1/D2 misvote bait who isn't as active as I would expect her to be.

-I think I wouldn't touch charlie until either skip flips or there's reasonable evidence to suggest that skip is town. That said, between Vizh and Skip I vote skip here, but think that both wagons will land on a misvote now.

I'm not touching dbd/ag/lechen today, and never touchung hyhy.

Think I'm willing to vote from whoever I listed. Vote: AligningStars

Hey, I reread 1-171 and made some notes on a lot of them in a sheet. I saw Neon post sheet screenshots before during games so I think that would be okay to do? But thought I'd check just in case before I do it. If I formatted it as a massive post I think that would be really annoying to read.

Kinda bored of that now so I'm gonna read the last couple pages for some more ~ * live interaction * ~
 
Okay, read through the last couple of pages but a lot of the discussion ties back to earlier posts. I probably should've just stayed reading everything in order instead of going back and forth between past and present what can you do.

HydrogenHydreigon I saw your call for pressure on me and it's fair! I'm not super comfortable posting a solid reads list because I can find town and mafia motives for 99% of posts made but as soon as I have some (host?) insurance posting my sheet is okay I can at least do that. I feel like if I posted a reads list it would be mostly just echoing things other people have said which seems counterproductive but I can give it a go. Like I'm fine with pointing out some towny things people have done but I'm having difficulty actually putting people in the scumlean category
 
Actually fuck it here's just concrete thoughts on the whole playerlist top to bottom. Yeah I only did it when prodded for it but that's gotta be better than not doing it at all.

Generally what I'm weighing are:
1. activity level
If someone posts a lot that's usually good. If someone doesn't post a lot that's usually bad. That said some people are just known to be less active...I've done enough rants asking why even sign up if you don't have time and from what I understand this is within some people's metas anyway. I don't really want to vote off people for low activity given how many subs are available and how it seems to be NAI for some people.
2. are they pushing people
Pushing people (to answer questions, give reads) is good. Pushing people for seemingly silly reasons is bad (I believe this is what them in the business call agenda).
3. pairing, who they interact with and in what way. I'm particularly trying to see what wagons they hop on, and who they seem to distance themselves from.

AG: I can't get over 124 "we already have enough that it won't quite be randing. As a well-known peanut gallery NOC "votes are just random" advocate I feel like this post made no sense at the time it was made. I have no other notes on AG in my sheet rn but generally they seem to get some flak from people. I think Tommy said AG is early misvote bait at some point? I can only guess at what that means, I guess it means AG rarely presents towny early on even if he is.

DBD: lowish activity though I think there's more posts by him in the part of the thread I haven't analyzed yet. Mostly joke posts early on when people were already discussing more concrete things. Don't really like these posts. If I had to scumlean someone it'd be him.

Lechen: Has like no posts in 1-171 so not in my sheet, I just saw him getting defensive a lot. Can't really pin this one way or another but I need to read more by them.

HyHy: Posted a lot but again mostly later on. Seems towny to me (and several others seem to agree with me) but I've only read less than 10 short posts.

Mekkah: i am town

Blazade: Apparently has very few posts, someone pointed out. But I kinda agreed with everything he posted, particularly about des being near-impossible to read.

Duskfall/Tommy: Helpful responses to my posts that I think he would have made either way, scum or town. I don't think town Tommy makes it to endgame so at some point we'll be able to get a lot of info off of this slot, I think. I saw at least one other person TR him but I forgor who.

bluedoom: Literally have no sheet notes on him yet. I did recall some people calling him out on something as I skimmed through but I need to read more by him.

a fairy: Most posts so far have been pretty contentless about stuff she's got going on. Pressed on des a bit which I think, after trying myself, is just unproductive.

CrreamyKitty: I find it hard to get over them hard town reading me off a "townslip" and it seems most people agree. But they do post and push a lot which I think is good.

skipper: pulsar and Hyhy defend this slot quite a bit for behavior that seems to be scummy. apparently this behavior is within skipper's town meta. Good activity.

Vizh: Lots of questions and pushing early on. I didn't find those quite unhelpful but AligningStar disagrees. Got wagoned quite a bit. I don't find them as sus as others.

SB.: Overall positive vibes but I think that might just be charlie as a person.

des: Impossible to read. I think being able to fake des's mannerisms would be a massive asset for scum, but if anyone else posted like this I'd find that quite scummy. I would never vote this slot off earlygame though.

AligningStar: Pretty aggressive approach that rubs me the wrong way, but I can't deny that it produces results in getting people to answer.

pulsar: Lowish activity. I can't say anything useful about this slot.

sunny: Made a lot of posts early on that I vibe with voting off experienced vs inexperienced and/or inactive (iirc) players.

NightEmerald: Got a lot of flak early on for being inactive then started posting a bit. I have no notes on them besides that.
 
Looking back at this readslist if I were someone else I'd give me shit for it being long without saying much or committing to much of anything, which is why I don't know if it was even worth making at this point. I think I just need to read the thread in order again to get a better grasp of things but first I gotta eat and work.

Echoing what people said is good anyways, it helps us because you are tied into what you say a bit and shows your headspace

Being unique isn’t important it’s having input and laying down a read you tie yourself into (a bit you can obviously progress beyond what you say)

If you only have town reads that cool too just share them

Nah that’s basically what you should be doing with a reads list, imo, you’re giving your headspace so people know where you’re at

But you’re not ranting on forever which is nice too

I wouldn’t worry myself with reading the thread a bunch of times if you don’t want to you’ll probably burn yourself out, but if you do that’s your call, I’d start asking people questions if you want to do the best solving it’s more useful than reading and re reading typically

Really like Tommy's #418. I really hope we heavily limit how much we claim this game because it always seems to screw NOC town over. That's mostly me parrotting Tommy's well-known opinion but I hope this is the game where Smogon NOC town gives not claiming a go!

Generally I'm fine with putting Tommy in my town reads from what I'm getting but again if he lives for ages I would find that somewhat suspicious.

SB. and Vizh seem fairly connected, while CrreamyKitty is happy to vote Vizh.

Thanks I'm basically caught up now on reading at least. I just know towns in the past have lost on not going back and rereading.

This is my best guess right now (and I don't like it much). I might be on around deadline but I'm not at all looking forward to having to make snap decisions on changing my vote with a timer ticking down. Just wanted to remove my initial joke vote on Lechen on a more real target.

It’s like when you hit d3 d4 and you’re asking “what was creamy doing when this flipped mafia or town wagon happened”

Or like if I die tonight and was screaming “get ag out of the game” and no one goes back to look then, that’s bad

But you don’t have to constantly be doing it just catching up when it hits mid game so you pick up on stuff that’s recontextualised after flips
