Welcome to Ultimate League Championship (ULC)! This is a standard current generation Monotype 5v5 team tournament with a twist! Each type may only be used by a League ONCE per week. The types used during the current week may be used again in the following week. There will also be a $100 ($20 split) cash prize to the winning team!

For example, if League 1 used Fire in the current week, that means that type cannot be used for the remainder of that week for League 1.

TOURNAMENT RULES
  • This is a standard SV Monotype tournament.
  • All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon walls. Proof of communication in your post if not on Smogon walls will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
  • All matches are to be played on the main PS! Server or Smogtours, or else they will not be counted.
  • Each type may only be used by a League ONCE per week.
  • GHOSTING IS ALLOWED!
  • All games will be Best Of One.
  • Each round will last 1 week.
  • The tournament will be Double Elimination depending on the number of signups.
  • All replays must be posted.
Standard Rules and Clauses:
  • All standard OU tier clauses apply, with the exception of:
    • Sleep Moves Clause: A Pokemon may have a move that induces sleep.
  • Furthermore, the following clauses are in effect:
    • Same Type Clause: All Pokémon in a team must share a type.
    • Terastal Clause: Terastallization is banned.
Identity

About playing on alts: It is entirely allowed to play on an alt other than your own main forum name, though if your opponent wishes to confirm your identity, you must log on to your main alt to show them you are who you claim to be. This is to prevent people from pretending to be who they're not.

Other servers are not sanctioned by the TD team and playing in them might result in your game not counting. Protect yourself from that by playing in Smogtours, where we also have the power to recreate games that end due to DC's.

Scouting

On scouting opponents: Going through your opponents replays of tournament and ladder games is entirely allowed, as long as a game is public there is nothing preventing you from watching it. An exception to this is abusing powers granted to you by being staff on Smogon or PS! to gain access to information a normal user wouldn't have access to, which is strictly forbidden.

On leaking teams: Divulging private information about someone's planned team to their opponent is never allowed, and will be heavily sanctioned. Requesting that such information be divulged is also grounds for punishment. Keep your scouting to publicly available information and you'll be fine.

Timer Clause / Disconnections

On the Timer: The timer must stay on throughout the whole battle..

On Timeout losses: A player that loses by having all his time run out loses the game. This is only not the case if the player that received the timeout loss can be verified to have suffered a True Disconnection. Rematches are only allowed if there was a True Disconnection.

On True Disconnection: The TD team has a secret threshold of seconds that your timer must be at or above, from the moment you disconnect, for a timeout loss to be considered a True disconnection. If your game is determined to be a true disconnection if you played on Smogtours and contacted a TD before the room expired your game will be recreated up to the point the disconnect happened. It is the responsibility of the player that disconnected to get a TD into the room before it expires.

Bug was brought twice this week and won, beating Dark and Fighting, respective. Good to see.

Dark had an underwhelming week finishing 3-5 and a negative record overall.

Dragon, post-Gouging Fire ban, finished 6-2 for the week (excluding the 1 mirror). Very solid showing for the type even with an important core mon missing.

Electric had no usage this week.

Fairy ended the week with a middling 2-4 record this week, unable to break even again.

Fighting had a solid 5-3 record this week. Amazingly, Fighting went undefeated against Flying this week winning 4-0.

Fire was brought once and won to allow first to finally break even overall.

Flying had an abysmal week finishing 1-8, including an 0-4 record against Fighting this week. Flying still has a positive record overall despite the losses.

Ghost continues to struggle finishing with a 3-6 record. Notably, Ghost defeated Dark once.

Grass was brought once and lost to a Water team.

Ground had a great week as it finished 7-3. Outstanding work by the players with this type. Ground now has the highest win percentage among types (min. 5 games).

Ice had no usage this week.

Normal had no usage this week.

Poison was brought once and lost to Ground.

Psychic split its two games 1-1 this week,

Rock had no usage this week.

Steel finished 4-0 for the week, excluding the mirror.

Water had the most usage this week finishing 7-5.
 
After speaking with a TD, I will be overturning the coin flip between Só no pelo League & Jetha ke Jabaaz League. Here are the new pairings:
