IMDb: In the late 90's, an orbiting Earth space center run by the Earth Defense Force Sky Force has commissioned a ceremony on the "J-Project". Lead by Commander Aya Odagiri who has selected five officials to be exposed to "Birdonic Waves" a newly developed technology that can give a human super abilities. Among the subjects to the project is Ryu Tendoh who is the first volunteer to be exposed to the Birdonic Waves and thus becomes the first nominated member of the newly established Jetman team. The other four subjects were about to be exposed to the same waves as Ryu did until the space center was attacked by the Vyram, an evil outer-dimensional organization bent on inter-dimensional domination. The Vyram successfully destroy the space center along with killing most of the humans on board. After the destruction, the remaining Birdonic Waves that were meant for the now dead four officials got scattered on the surface of the Earth. Hitting four different civilians who were going about their daily lives. Odagiri and Tendoh who had successfully escaped the doom space center soon began searching on Earth for the four remaining humans with Birdonic Waves in order to fully form the Jetman team. Forming the team will be no easy task as the four civilians had no prior training in military tactics and must learn to work together and look pass their personal problems if they are willing to save the Earth from the Vyram which was being lead by the cruel Count Radiguet.

The final 5 episodes of perhaps the best legacy sequel to any franchise dropped TODAY on Netflix, and at the time of this Rec, I've seen the first 2 of those. It's weird to think that this ride I've been on for about as long as I've been part of this room is about to end but I will remember my time with it fondly, even if it is a sad thought. Luckily, the show's episodes, even some of the oldest ones, remain very rewatchable to this day! I'm sure I'll still recommend the series here in the future, but today seems like the most appropriate time to bring it up in recent memory, so get bingin' and remember: Cobra Kai never dies!

I may have only listed 3 genres, but this 3-hour epic also includes elements of romance, bromance, comedy, a period piece and, as much as I hate to admit it, musical (Blech. Only one and a half scenes, though - and they're very good). Long run times can be a turn-off for a lot of movie-goers, but I challenge you to find yourself bored at any point. The adrenaline ramps up early and doesn't stop!

JUST BE WARNED: The endings of both movies are very different. If you want a happier-type ending, go with the 2024 version. If you want a more dark and sad ending, go with the 2022 version.

I'm years late to the party, but I still remember the word-of-mouth praise for the sequel to this film, and I had to know what the fuss was about. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it, especially after a couple stinker films I watched in the same weekend.

Description: Gotta admit the most exciting thing I've watched lately is old (new to me tho) Hajime no Ippo episodes, but since that's the A&M room's specialty, I'll go with one of the next best related things! This film is a spin-off by definition, but it is a true extension of the franchise with all the things you've come to love from the Rocky series, including the man himself. It's got great action, writing and modern cinematography to keep things dynamic. Michael B. Jordan effortlessly slips into the driver's seat and the role of Apollo's son to keep my favourite movie series going strong!

Apple Notes: Absolutely twisted early 00's comedy. Fast paced, unhinged, 80% scripted with the other 20% being improvisation. This is British comedy at its most high level (yet so dangerously at the lowest form). Its faux fly-on-the-wall documentary style gives it an early 00's The Office feel, which possibly then led to those shows growing in the 10's!

Description: TF One is the quintessential tragic retelling of dumbass studios led by halfwits putting their effort and resources into marketing trash while their best works (like this movie) are hung out to dry despite being flawlessly fleshed out. If a sequel is ever going to see the light of day, it will depend entirely on word-of-mouth praise reaching a critical mass that the backers can't ignore, and I'm here to do my part in that effort!

Go see this movie! It's EASILY a top 1-3 Transformers movie that has great action, writing, animation, rewatchability, a wealth of Easter eggs for long-time fans and even comedy! Don't let the creators' magnum opus get lost to time! Also, apologies in advance for the next time I recommend this movie!

If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly movie, Minecraft 2025 is a surprisingly great pick! The pixelated visuals are perfect, and the voice cast adds a lot of charm to the blocky characters. Description: A linguistics expert is brought in to assist the military in carrying out first contact operations when a group of alien spaceships arrive on Earth and position themselves at various points around the globe.

This is one of those ones where the less you know, the better (aside from the core concept). Just go in and admire the story and cinematography led by Denis Villeneuve (or give it another rewatch like I did recently - still just as great a film as the first time).

I'm in no way, shape or form a fan of medical television - in fact, I have to look away for a lot of these scenes (mostly needles) - but even that couldn't stop me from binging all 15 episodes in 2 and a half days or so. It's just incredibly well-paced and has a great cast (including some children of famous actors you're familiar with from other works) that all feel perfectly in their element in this environment. Go watch it now on HBO Max (yes I still call it that)!

One guest begins the first day with the money in their room and must do everything they can to keep that fact secret while interacting with the others while all involved carry out various challenges worth advantages during elimination dinners each evening.

It's not the greatest game show in history, and I think some players made it cheesier by being overly dramatic and sensitive throughout the season, but it's easy to digest and the simple concept was a good idea for a show, plus I'm a fan of Peter as an actor, so seeing him at the helm of another project was great.
