I find this thread extremly disappointing. The way some people talk in here is just shameful.
Surely the topic of wether this game should be played or not could probably be resolved in a humanitary fashion, as it has been in such instances before and with an outcome that is fair to both sides.

The way people talk here though, even ones I would call friends, I find deplorable. Being emotionally affected or disliking a decision, which is within the rules, does not justify insults or forming a "hate mob". Everyone is free to formulate his or her oppinion, yet it shouldn't overbord in such behaviour as some people have shown.

I wish both players a good series, looking forward to watch it.

Jsyk Devin didn't ask anyone to come to his defense, from my part i had to say something considering we had some personal talks and I know what he's going through, and it pisses me off seeing someone trying to dick my friend when it's far from the right time for that.
But I agree that my words might have been harsh and I don't condone bandwagoning , so i'll restrain myself from hurting this buffoons feelings even more.

Who's delusional though? Like, who tf thinks that it's a good idea to try fishing for act on Monday ? Without even trying to find a solution, when he said he was available at other times.
And i'm not even talking about the fact it is during a finals as it's far from the dumbest thing i've seen here.
Even if you sticked to the rules, he did so without even waiting for the 30 minutes needed to take act so.. i don't get how we are delusional ?

I can get that he's shy from admitting his mistakes, it's hard to do so when there's a whole group shitting on you, but even worse than not admitting he doubled down even further on them, even trying to make it sound that we've even had an influence about the decision ?
Without even admitting a single one of his responsabilities, and that was the dealbreaker.
I mean, it doesn't take half of a brain to understand what's wrong, unless you really don't care. Which wouldn't be surprising knowing the fact that this dude is known for always trying to fish act in a scummy way, just as we saw here or on several other occasions.

It's no use beating a dead horse at this point so i'll end on that note :

"I am here to get a tournament game done" ??? my god he's not even ironic LOL

The clown difference really is crazy and players are delusional indeed!

Furthermore, why wouldn't I act within the rules of activity calls when I have no idea what my opponent is doing?
If you want to get pedantic about the letter of the rules, this isn't even a valid act call attempt. Your oppenent indicated ahead of time they couldn't be there at the scheduled time, meaning it's a 30 minute grace window, and you posted your act call at 19 minutes.

If you don't want to be pedantic, you indicated in your scheduling you had ample free time this weekend, your opponent asked to reschedule (after accomidating your rescheduling) and this is loser's finals--we want to see the game played, and there is ample reason to believe y'all can accomidate each other's schedulings, to say nothing of a possible extension.
And since when did Smogon’s decisions start getting affected by 12 people rallying in an utterly shameful manner?
The people posting had nothing to do with this decision; the host asked the Tour Directors for advice immediately and the immediate and unanimous response was this was not a valid act call; there was a delay in responding, which is when the dog piling occured, but it was irrelevant to the decision at hand.

This is not a valid act call by any means, and certainly not by the spirit of the law. It is the correct call to still schedule and play this game. You're not a victim of a ruling here, you made a bad act call.

That being said, we should get this thread back on track. Further references to this drama will get deleted.
