Following recent events, zoe has been decided to be DOU's next suspect test! Since joining the community 4 years ago, she's committed numerous unforgivable crimes. For starters, she's humiliated notable community members Yoda2798 and NinjaSnapple in Halo Infinite multiple times, with the latter being done in both editions of USA vs. The World, creating an unideal environment for the two as they would have to interact with others knowing that they lost to such a dork. Her profile is also a point of contention, even without considering the fact its corresponding picture is always some anime girl of some kind. Her name is also only one letter off from zee's, causing some users (LuBiStar20) to confuse the two. Finally, she's under suspicion for evading COPPA for years due to the fact she acts like she's a child despite her age allegedly being above that, raising questions on how true it is. She also plays Destiny 2 actively, which deserves a ban in itself.

All of this coupled with the fact she's been playing the new Monster Hunter an absurd amount and leads another section, the DOU moderation team has elected to suspect her from the community.

As usual, 60% of the vote must be in favor to demote zoe.

NOTE: THIS TEST WILL BE USING THE NEW SUSPECT PROCESS!

The instructions to participate in this test are as follows:

  • Create a new account on PS. You do not have to follow any specific naming convention, but your suspect account must have never played a game in DOU before this suspect test went up or you will not receive valid requirements (resetting W/L does not count for this - the account you use must never have played DOU before the test, full stop.)​
  • At any point on your new account, use the command /linksmogon on Pokemon Showdown! You will receive instructions on what to do once you run this command.​
  • Double check that you're listed as a voter here! If you aren't listed as a voter despite having valid reqs, please contact myself, bagel, or a member of staff.​
  • If you have any questions about this new process, feel free to PM Yoda2798/bagel or post here!​

The requirement to vote in this suspect test is a COIL value of 2980 (using a B value of 5 - you do not need to worry about this).
The suspect laddering period is now underway and the deadline for getting requirements is <t:1745805600:F>.
 
I am glad we're finally getting this suspect test. We truly lived dark times while Zoe was doing whatever she wanted with our community. I hope she gets banned or nerfed for the well-being of the DOU community looking into the future.
 
I will be voting BAN. tbh we don’t even need to do a suspect test this is the easiest ban vote I’ve ever seen

I am voting BAN, Zoe should’ve been a quickban and we all know it. The people want Gothitelle freed but ofc the incompetent council can’t read the room.
 
I'm voting DO NOT BAN ! After 4 years it's already too old to remember about that. It's like an object we put in oour house and 4 years afters we saw it and said : Oh still here !
But still not moving this object. So DNB is logic <3
 
On behalf of the DOU Council and moderation team, I'd like to apologize for the delay. A suspect test involving a moderator is a serious matter, and we had to ensure that everything was done correctly.

After a private vote, zoe is now banned from Doubles OU. Many voters expressed that her moderation ability was too powerful for the community, and several also found her tournament hosting experience daunting to face in battle. One user polled also believes "she's gotta git gud (sic)." The rest of DOU staff has agreed to give her a final post below, and then she will be pelted with tomatoes.
 
I was only leader for a year but I don't really regret it, it got stressful here and there but i bowed out when i felt it was right (even if it was because you all banned me), and i'd like to think i did some good even if it was moreso in the moment stuff. finally, if nothing else:

life outside of dou will be 100x better lmao hahaha
